The story of Oregon Waffle gave us an extremely strong sense of scenario - this Waffle shoes debuted in Eugene in 1975, and the unique design and material caught everyone's attention. Therefore, I designed the character as a Waffle Man sprinting across the finish line, and I wanted to bring the audience back to the moment in 1975 when the athletes wore the shoes to create glory. At the same time, Waffle Man is wearing the classic yellow and green athletic uniform, which represents the University of Oregon and also pays homage to Bowerman's coaching career at the University of Oregon.
